The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary welcome you in 2022

The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary welcome you in 2022

The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary is looking forward to an exciting 2022! After suffering a major setback with considerable storm damage to the site from Storm Arwen, the sanctuary is bouncing back and looking forward to meeting visitors again!

New arrivals, Marie Ange, Belle Helene, Galentine, Prune, Rosie, and foals Luckie, Lola and Hovis, will be having their first ‘season’ on the Island and joining donkeys from the sanctuary’s other herds in interacting with their supporters.

New paddocks, new walkways, and a new barn with visitor access will all be ready from Easter 2022. The new facilities will offer indoor accommodation for wet days, and lovely walks for those dry summer occasions! A full events programme is in place and the traditional activities of donkey grooming, shetland slaloming, donkey experiences, donkey spotting and their donkey information trail will all be available again for everybody.

Tasty meals and treats await visitors in 2022 at the Grazers Café

After a busy winter, Grazers Café will be looking forward to serving tasty snacks, meals and drinks for the new year. Browse and Brays shop will be also be stocked with donkey themed gifts and new items for 2022.

The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary look forward to seeing lots of you soon and hope that 2022 will be a good year!
