See the Island via Webcams, anywhere!

The team at isleofwight.com are proud to now have the largest network of Isle of Wight live webcams around the Island – giving you up to date footage of Islandwide destinations.

You can see them live, for free, here – isleofwight.com/webcams

They have installed their own cameras last year at Sandown, Ventnor, The Needles and Alum Bay as well as hosting several other webcams which can all be enjoyed 24/7.

You can see what the lions are getting up to at The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, watch the trains arrive and set off at Isle of Wight Steam Railway or even take a look and see what the weather is like at the Needles.

Michael Dangerfield, Managing Director of isleofwight.com, said:

“I noticed the popularity of webcams during 2020 when the pandemic set in and felt the Island could really benefit from a series of cameras showing off our beautiful Island.

“We really do have some picturesque sights and the webcams allow anyone, even all over the world, to see live images 24/7.

“Great for both locals and tourists, as isleofwight.com is focused at giving information to tourists, it adds an additional, but unique element to those searching for their next place to stay.”

James Adsett, Camera Installer, said:

“Our first install was on the Chairlift at the Needles, it was a tricky install climbing up the chairlift towers, but wow what a view!

“The site can get in excess 100mph winds during the winter months so the installation needed to be secure”

Michael added:

“We have a number of other locations in the pipeline, with more cameras due to be installed over the coming years, so make sure you check back frequently to see if there is a new view!”
