Jack Up Summer Party returns for two days of live music, vintage entertainment, and retro-inspired fun
The days are getting longer and the nights are getting lighter. Spring is just around the corner which means Summer is coming soon and that brings Jack Up Summer Party!
The Island’s retro-themed boutique gathering returns to Retro Staycations in Ryde over the weekend of 12-13th August.
Billed a ‘family-friendly celebration of popular party hits,’ this year’s line-up features a fantastic mix of some of the world’s best tribute acts from the 80s and 90s alongside performances from original artists including, fresh from their recent sell-out 60’s show at Shanklin Theatre, The Zoots ‘Sounds of the 80s’ show, Black Lace, and Island favourites Ska’d for Life.
Get ready to dance and sing along to some of the greatest hits from the era, as Jack Up Events transport you back to the golden age of pop with the likes of Duran Duran, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Whitney Houston, Tom Jones, Elton John and Complete Madness.
With obsessive attention to detail, Britain’s number one tribute band, Noasis, will be recreating the real Oasis experience, by providing a definitive tribute to the Manchester super group. Plus there’s the opportunity to relive all the classic hits of the 80’s and 90’s in one high octane, tubthumping show with the Amazing 80s vs 90s – ‘the battle of the decades.’
Black Lace, the British pop band who rose to fame in the 80s with hits like ‘Agadoo’ and ‘Do the Conga,’ will also be taking to the stage for a special performance. With their catchy tunes and fun-loving attitude, the novelty party duo are sure to get the party started.
They’ll be plenty of retro-themed entertainment to keep party-goers busy throughout the event. Take a stroll through the vintage fairground, complete with classic rides and games that will transport you back to your childhood.
Feeling peckish? Head over to the local food stalls, where you can grab a burger or hot dog fresh from Hazelgrove Farm, which is once again playing host to this year’s event. They’ll be a range of Island traders serving up a variety of locally-sourced food and beverages and don’t forget to wash it all down with a retro-inspired beer or Expresso Martini coffee!
The venue’s picturesque setting and laid-back atmosphere provides the perfect backdrop for a Summer party. Attendees can enjoy stunning views of Brading Downs and let the kids run free in the safety of Retro Staycations’ family-friendly site. With access to posh loos included in the ticket price, Jack Up Summer Party provides the ideal event for music lovers who prefer a more relaxed festival vibe with no queuing, and lots of lush green space to spread out in.
Tickets go on sale at 9am Tuesday 28th March. To celebrate the return of this year’s event, The Price Is Wight are offering weekend early bird tickets at just £48 plus booking fee for the first 100 weekend tickets sold – offer available exclusively here.
