isleofwight.com Award Winning Triumph
We are delighted to announce that the Business Excellence Awards have recognised isleofwight.com as the best ‘Online Tourist Information Platform’ in Southern England.
The award was given in recognition to our services towards Isle of Wight tourism, in particular supporting businesses throughout the pandemic, our continued investment in new technologies, as well as tremendous growth in both website visitors and social media followers.
We are extremely proud and delighted to receive this award, particularly as it is the first we have received since my wife Rachel and I took over the business in 2019. The team, which is now 6 of us, have continuously worked hard over the last couple of years building the business. 2021 saw record numbers of visitors to the Island and we continue to strive in making isleofwight.com the foremost independent tool for those looking to visit the Island.
Michael Dangerfield, Managing Director
The investment and success of the Islandwide webcams have been a highlight for isleofwight.com in 2021 and we have other locations in the pipeline. The webcams are used by residents and tourists alike to see our beautiful views from the comfort of their home and of course get excited about their next trip to the Island! We are always striving for better ways at improving the business even further, with up to date technology and new projects for encouraging and supporting Isle of Wight tourism. Watch this space!
Although the isleofwight.com website is at the core of our business, we know the importance of multi-platform marketing with us offering a wide range of media services. We continue to grow our social media channels and our monthly e-newsletter and blog offer informative articles and further details for those looking for places to stay, things to do and where to eat on the Island.
We are immensely proud and honoured to be a part of the Island tourism industry, offering an independent information source to visitors as well as taking care of our advertisers. We would like to thank all our members and visitors for your support and we are looking forward to exciting times ahead for Isle of Wight tourism.
