The Cliffhanger will say it’s final farewell this October!

The park has announced that their iconic clifftop rollercoaster, Cliffhanger, will be leaving Blackgang Chine at the end of the season. The Cliffhanger arrived in the park back in 2005 and became one of guests most favoured rides for the next 17 years! The successful reception of the Cliffhanger installation paved the way for a variety of additional attractions to debut in the parks in the following years to come.

In a statement from Blackgang Chine, Parks Director, Dominic Wray, said:

‘Cliffhanger has thrilled guests for almost 20 years, providing a new level of themed attraction that the Island had never seen before its arrival. We’ve loved watching you all experience the stunning views from every angle

that Cliffhanger has had to offer, and we hope you all get the opportunity to experience the breath-taking scenery one last time before it leaves the park at the end of the season!

Although Cliffhanger may be taking its final trip around the tracks, we are pleased to announce a new ride will be joining us in 2023, ready for our 180th anniversary celebrations. Details will be coming very soon, but we can assure everyone it’ll have your heads spinning just at the sight of it and we can’t wait to showcase this next year!’

As a ‘thank you’ for the love Cliffhanger has received over the years, the park are offering up the chance for 24 lucky Frequent Visitor Pass holders to be the final riders on the last day of the season and get hold of an EXCLUSIVE Cliffhanger t-shirt (30th October 2022).
