SPOOKTAKULAR Halloween at Shanklin Chine
Back for a second year Shanklin Chine, the Isle of Wight’s most historic attraction, is transforming into a haven for Halloween ghosts and ghouls this half term.
From Friday 14th through to Monday 31st October the Chine will be offering a spooky experience aimed at children and families.
Open daily from 10am – 9pm visitors can explore the Chine in all its autumnal glory, but as the sunsets the illuminations are turned on and the creepy critters come out of the undergrowth. From 5pm each evening during the half term fortnight the Chine will be illuminated like never before creating a spooky, enchanting forest. Youngsters should keep their eyes open for howling werewolves, giant spiders and smiling jack o’lanterns.
During the weekends the Chine will come alive with a monster mash-up of live music from Charles Gold. Each night has a wicked, wonderful theme which The Chine encourages you to don your best fancy dress to reflect the theme;
Week 1: Friday 14th Ghosts, Saturday 15th Rocky Horror, Sunday 16th Mummies
Week 2: Friday 21st Just Weird, Saturday 22nd Monsters Rock, Sunday 23rd Ghouls
Week 3: Friday 28th Green Monsters, Saturday 29th Werewolves (something furry), Sunday 30th Come as you please (you surprise us)
Finale: Monday 31st October – Halloween!
Standard admission prices apply and with complimentary returns within seven days you can experience it all again and again for free (to use by 31st October)! Visitors to the Chine do not need to pre-book. Why not get the little ones to dress up in their favourite costumes to add to the fun.
