Tapnell Farm Park is one of the Island’s leading all-weather family attractions, surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills and famous sea views of the Isle of Wight. It’s great for all the family, whatever the weather!
You and your littles will be spoilt with just as many adventures indoors as out! There are large animal paddocks with epic views across the Solent towards Lymington, two large adventure straw barns, an indoor soft play barn, pedal go-karts, giant jumping pillows, large trim trail, crazy golf and more plus daily animal activities (meet our wallabies and meerkats!) and an animal barn full of the cutest little animals you will ever meet.
Wander around the Wallaby Walkabout with the mob of tame wallabies and say hello to the marvellous meerkats – Look out for our new meerkat pups and joeys! In the paddocks you will meet the three little pigs, various friendly (and hilarious) goats, alpacas, and their other four-legged friends.
Tapnell Farm Park also hosts an array of seasonal award-winning events – Full details available on their website.
If you are feeling peckish Tapnell Farm Park has its own Coffee House serving barista coffee, hot and cold drinks, light bites and nibbly bits. There is also an on-site restaurant, The Cow, serving award-winning burgers, just a stone’s throw from the park itself – Worth booking a table as it is very popular with families.
Open two sessions daily (seasonal opening times)
Booking online only.
Sorry no dogs allowed in the Farm Park, other than guide dogs. The Cow is Dog Friendly.

Electric car hire has now been introduced at Tapnell Farm as an option for guests to either leave their car at home and travel by public transport to the Island, or to use an electric vehicle to explore the Island during their stay. This latest eco travel & stay initiative is in keeping with Tapnell Farm’s environmental values, and the family’s ethos to create ‘maximum enjoyment with minimum impact on the environment’.
In association with Snows Isle of Wight, Tapnell Farm now has the new two door FIAT 500e (87kW) on-site which has a range of up to 199 miles from just one charge. The four door BMWi3, which can cover 177 miles from just one charge, is also available to hire – plenty of charge for exploring an Island that is just 22.5 miles x 13.5 miles! Electric charging points are installed at Tapnell Farm for guests’ convenience.
Guests can take public transport to Portsmouth, Southsea, Southampton or Lymington, crossing the Solent as foot passengers via Red Funnel, Wightlink or Hovertravel, and be met at the terminal with a pre-booked electric car on arrival.
Electric car hire costs are £40 per day for the two door FIAT 500e and the slightly bigger, four door BMWi3 is £50 per day. For details, please visit Tapnell Farm’s latest news here.
For this Autumn/Winter, Tapnell Farm has also introduced a special Eco Travel & Stay package for guests travelling to the Island via Lymington to Yarmouth. The offer includes electric bikes or electric car hire, two-night stay in cosy, environmentally friendly, glamping accommodation (Eco Pod or Modulog), and ferry transfers, from £275 based on two people sharing.
