Blackgang Chine Celebrates Triple Success at UK Theme Park Awards

Blackgang Chine Celebrates Triple Success at UK Theme Park Awards

Blackgang Chine is celebrating after scooping three awards at this year’s UK Theme Park Awards, recognising excellence across the visitor attractions industry.

The Isle of Wight attraction, which is also the UK’s oldest amusement park, took home:

Gold for Best Customer Service (Small)

Silver for Best Seaside Park (South)

Bronze for Best Marketing Campaign (Talking Bins with Joe Sugg)

With tens of thousands of votes from the public, coupled with judging by an expert panel, competition was tougher than ever.

For Blackgang Chine, this recognition is particularly special.

The Gold win for Best Customer Service reflects the park’s dedication to creating memorable experiences for every guest. “Customer service is at the heart of everything we do,” said Park Manager Dan White. “To be recognised nationally is a huge testament to the passion, energy and commitment of our incredible team.”

This accolade follows their recent success in their VisitEngland Assessent which saw a huge 98% scored for Customer Service. Just across the water, Paultons Park took home Gold for Customer Service in the “Large Park” sub-category, proving that the South Coast really does go the extra mile for guests.

The Silver award for Best Seaside Park highlights the park’s unique clifftop location, offering some of the most breathtaking views on the Isle of Wight.

Meanwhile, the Bronze award for Best Marketing Campaign proved that smaller, independent parks can hold their own against industry giants. The now-viral “Talking Bins with Joe Sugg” campaign began with just an idea, a DM slide and no budget, showing how creativity and collaboration can make a national impact without big spending.

“This campaign really is the embodiment of what Blackgang Chine is about, creating those core childhood memories that transcend generations, and Joe’s story with his niece and homemade bin captured everyone’s hearts.”  added Head of Marketing Laura Baxter. “We’re incredibly proud to showcase that independent attractions can compete at the very highest level.”

Blackgang Chine continues to welcome thousands of visitors every year, offering generations of family’s magical moments by the sea. These awards cement its place as not just a beloved Island favourite, but a nationally recognised leader in the attractions industry.
