Teenagers over the age of 13 years, get approximately 15% discount from our standard prices, so if you want to treat the kids over the half term holidays or summer holidays in a family suite of two rooms for two adults and one teenager on a sofa bed, prices start from £143 per night for 3 people, on a minimum 3 night stay and this includes our scrumptious breakfast, unlike the Premier Inn which is extra!

SOME PRICES FOR YOU
Although we have not put our prices up the past few years during Covid, with the Cost of Living & Inflation crisis, we have now had to increase our prices accordingly.
Bed & Breakfast Cost per night per Adult person starts from £50 in our Mid-Season during February to June & October/November or from £55 in our High Season during July to September.
Stay 7 Nights prices start from £350 from February to June, October & November or £385 during July to September or check out our website for more deals & information.
Short Break Offer ‘4 Nights for the price of 3’ in February to May & October/November starts from only £150 pp or from £250 including any car ferry (or for 2 people it’s from £300 or £400 including the ferry)
And not forgetting our Teenagers who will receive a 15% discount & our Retired Senior Citizens over 67 years of age a 10% Discount off all Adult prices above, when you book directly with us.

BAR LOUNGE
Whilst you are staying at the Swiss Cottage in Shanklin, why not enjoy a relaxing drink during our warm summer evenings in our comfortable bar lounge or our decked patio area/furniture and watch the world go by. If we are not around, we run an honesty bar for you.
We have a selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks available at our competitively priced honesty bar.
If you do not wish to go out why not stay in and relax and catch up on your television programs on our large Flat Screen Smart TV, which has Digital & Sky Channels & Netflix or use our Free WI FI service to catch up with those emails.
On the first floor, we have a dry lounge/quiet room, so you can catch up on some reading, play cards or just to relax in.
After a good night’s sleep, come down and read your daily papers/magazines in the Guests Lounge (please do not take them in our dining room) or catch up with the news and weather on the TV.
DINING ROOM
We are continuing with the split breakfast services to maintain the safe social distancing. We will open the doors for Breakfast, on entry you have a choice of 7 different cereals (Porridge on request) everything else you need will be placed on your designated tables.
The 2 Services are at: 8am & 9am, so let us know your preference.
All of our breakfasts are pre-ordered the day before and are freshly prepared ready to serve you, which makes for a faster more efficient service and to ensures that you can enjoy the whole day ahead. (local produce used when available from local butchers, grocers and farms).
You can order a variety of excellent breakfasts from our Full 7 item English breakfast or just try the lighter option of up to 2 items or Croissant with Scrambled Egg & Smoked Salmon, Egg/Bacon/Sausage sandwiches or a tasty smoked double Kipper & bread, veggie options, accompanied by a variety of fruit, herbal, decaf & black teas or decaff, granulated, cafetière coffees or something different like Latte or Cappuccino or Hot Chocolate, fresh fruit juices, a bowl of mixed berries and yoghurts plus white/brown/wholemeal toast as required with your choice of jams, marmalade’s, honey, marmite or golden syrup to prepare you for the day ahead.
Teenagers have their own breakfast menu which is a smaller variation of the Adults or they can upgrade to the full Adult menu with a £3 supplement.
ACCOMMODATION
The modern and tastefully decorated 7/8 En-suite rooms, two of which are on the ground floor for accessible needs, offer flexible accommodation for up to 16 guests.
All rooms have 32-inch flat screen smart TV’s (with Netflix) for you to watch over 100 digital channels & 30 radio channels or listen to some music on your CD/radio alarm clock.
We have also installed USB plugs in one of the sockets per room.
We provide each room with an extensive range of complimentary beverages, fresh milk, mini cool fridge, fan and a hairdryer in your room plus a trouser press, iron and ironing board and shoe polish equipment are on the landing for you to use.
We do have black out curtains in all bedrooms plus all front facing rooms have extra blinds to give you a good night’s sleep.
We have 6 car spaces on our forecourt & free parking in the road.
DOUBLE ROOM
We are able to arrange accommodation to provide up to five En-suite double rooms at any one time, depending on availability.
Two are situated on the ground floor, one with a large walk-in shower and seating area into the front bay and the other with a shower cubicle and extra sitting room.
The other three are on the first floor, one large double with bath and shower above and the other two standard doubles both have En-suite shower rooms.
All Double rooms are available for adult/senior single occupancy with an extra charge of £14 during our Mid-Season & £28 during our High Season.
SINGLE / TWIN ROOM
There are two standard twin rooms on the first floor, one with a En-suite bath/shower above & the other with En-suite shower cubicle.
Sorry, we do not have any Twin Rooms on the Ground Floor.
Both Single/Twin rooms are available for adult/senior single occupancy with an extra charge of £7 during our Mid-Season & £14 during our High Season.
FAMILY SUITE
We are now only using one Open Plan Family Suite on the Ground Floor, which can accommodate up to two adults in a double-bedded room and one teenager sleeping on sofa bed in a single room, all within the same suite & all sharing the same en suite bathroom facilities.
Please note that we DO NOT take children or babies under the age of 13 years of age.

At the Swiss Cottage we have strived to achieve and maintain various awards and are one of the few still rated 5 out 5 with one of the highest satisfaction rates at 96% on Trip Advisor since 2010 and ranked 5th Best in the Hotel Category on the whole Island..
We have received The Certificate of Excellence & Hall of Fame Awards, as we are in the Top 1% in the UK and have also been voted 4 times by them at their Annual Awards as The Travellers Choice which is the Top 25 in the United Kingdom – 12th Best in 2011/12 for Family-Friendly Establishment & also has been voted 10th Best in the UK in 2013/14 in their Small/Budget Hotel category and again in 2016/17 in 11th place for Best Small Hotel & again 21st in 2018/19.
We are also proud to have received the prestigious Silver Award from Visit England for High Quality of our Accommodation and Service every year since 2010 to current day 2024.
In September 2014 we were Awarded the Visit England’s Breakfast Award for our High Quality of Service and produce, which again only shows our high standards that we aim to achieve and have continued receiving that award every year up to current day.
In 2014, 2016 and again in 2017, we have been Awarded Trip Advisors The Green Leaders Gold Award for being Environmentally Friendly with our towel & linen changes, energy saving lighting & motion sensors, hand sanitizers & cleanliness and our recycling bin policy which we operate in our establishment, so we would like to thank all those guests who do abide by our simple helpful guidelines to maintain the property with us.
This is in addition to our Green Tourism Gold we won since 2008 & since 2018 we have also been awarded the Silver Star for Visit IOW Green Awards.
We have also been recognised by Tourism South of England in their Best B&B/Guest Accommodation category in the Beautiful South Awards for Excellence 2014 and not only winning the category on the Island but with very stiff competition we won the award for 4th place/ Highly Commended at the Awards Ceremony competing against the whole of the South Coast properties.
And finally, we are still 5 out 5 for ‘Scores on the Doors’ for Food Hygiene Rating which is Inspected by IOW Environmental Health annually.
