The Orchards Holiday Park on the Isle of Wight is a multi-award-winning, family-owned, holiday park with high-quality facilities and friendly helpful staff.
The Orchards has been awarded 5 pennants from The AA and has won Practical Caravans “ Overall Winner” in their Top 100 awards.
The park is situated in Newbridge, on the West of the Isle of Wight. It’s in a small rural village. It is on the edge of an AONB so there are stunning countryside views from all over the park.
We offer 160 touring pitches for tents, motorhomes and touring caravans – 22 have water service, 52 are hardstandings and 86 are grass. They are arranged in 3 paddocks, on terraced, flat or gently sloping land.
We also have 64-holiday caravans (statics) in a separate, spacious area, with trees and shrubs around and pathways in between. The 4 and 6 berth caravans are of a very high standard, fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, fridge, microwave, shower and toilet, DVD player and TV. See our holiday caravan guide for more details of caravan layout and pictures.
We think you will be impressed with our Facilities Centre. It is centrally located in the touring area and built to house all of your touring needs. It contains shower and washbasin cubicles, family bathroom and family shower room, washing up area, laundry area with ironing and washing machines, walkers drying room, vanity area and much more. All with the luxury of underfloor heating, to make your holiday more comfortable.
The Number 7 bus runs hourly from the entrance of the park to Newport and Yarmouth, where you can catch buses to other towns all over the Island. There are walking and cycling trails from the park, so you don’t have to take the car to access them. Our shop sells a selection of everyday goods. There is also a large Co-op at Freshwater 10 minutes drive away.
We have 2 accessible friendly caravans, the Sovereign and the Gold Sovereign. Both are designed with many features for those with special needs or in a wheelchair. They have sloping access, wide low kitchen features, large lounge and a disabled toilet and shower area.

Every year the Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome magazines ask their readers to nominate their favourite holiday stays in the Top 100 Awards scheme. The votes are then counted up and their expert team decide on a Top 100 list for tourers, tents and holiday caravans. This year readers voted in droves for Orchards Holiday Park and it was nominated “Best site for families”.
Here’s what the voters for the Top 100 Sites Guide said about The Orchards Holiday Park:
“A giant, friendly welcome and the staff couldn’t do more to settle us in. Great facilities – lovely and clean – and surrounded by wonderful views and sunshine at the end of October. This will be the first of many more visits.”
“Warm and spacious toilet and shower facilities that were very clean and well-maintained, while providing unlimited hot water! These facilities were also never closed for cleaning, because the work was done very early each morning, and around the customers if necessary. It also has an excellent takeaway-food restaurant that doesn’t do fast food, but cooked great food fast.”
