For over 50 years Red Funnel have operated a hi-speed foot passenger service to the Isle of Wight on purpose-built vessels, from hovercrafts and hydrofoils to the Red Jet catamarans used today. Sail from Southampton into the heart of Cowes, on the Island’s northern tip, and find yourself feeling a world away in under 30 minutes.

Sail across to the Isle of Wight with Red Funnel, and discover over 25 beaches, 50 attractions and 100s of miles of countryside waiting to be explored.

Step off the Red Jet and into the popular seafront town of Cowes, home to the world’s oldest annual sailing regatta. A bustling high street adorned with bunting and flowers, Cowes offers a variety of boutique shops selling everything from fashion and art to homeware and jewellery. Discover a plethora of great places to eat and drink in town, as well as great outside places for a picnic.

Check out Northwood House for its rolling green, Lawn Bar, tennis courts and play park – just a 10-minute walk from the ferry. Or walk along the esplanade to Gurnard, where you’ll find a green, beach, pub and playpark with unparalleled Solent views the length of the waterfront.

Dogs, bikes and prams are all welcome aboard the Red Jet and you’ll find plenty of great family and dog friendly activities, restaurants and cafes wherever you go.

Red Funnel’s Red Jet service is fully accessible and onboard you’ll find comfortable seating, a luggage area, carriage for bikes, hot and cold drinks, a selection of snacks, toilets, WiFi, and USB charging points.

Foot passenger fares start at just £12.30 per person with the Super Off Peak Day Return, available daily from 11:00am when two or more people travel together, returning at any time the same day. This ticket is available to buy at terminals only.
