This small and sandy beach is tucked away on the quieter west coast of the Island situated in-between the famous Needle rock and lighthouse and the port of Yarmouth with panoramic views of the Solent and Hurst Castle. With clear, calm waters and gently sloping sand and shingle, it is popular with families, holidaymakers, and locals and an ideal beach for swimming. A perfect place to relax and unwind in and out of season, it is also an ideal place to see yachts sailing by on the Solent waters. The bay has a traditional seaside café just before you reach the beach along with some small shops selling everything you need to enjoy your day including deck chair hire and inflatables.
On the road leading down to the shore, you will find a bar and along the seawall a bistro style restaurant from where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the stunning sea views. There is very little beach at high tide so make sure you check the tide tables before visiting. To the right of the slipway is an area for dog walkers to enjoy.
