East Dene is in Bonchurch, Ventnor. With sea views and woodlands, it is one of the Islands premier outdoor education centres. The site is the former home of the Victorian Poet Algernon Swinburne. The Island is famous for fossil hunting, great for excursions, with wildlife sanctuaries and theme parks close by. They can assist with attractions to visit. East Dene is close to Ventnor, and the seaside town of Shanklin. The beach is just a short walk away too – perfect for Rockpooling!

East Dene can accommodate up to 180, sleeping in bunk bedded dormitory rooms from 4 to 12 beds, with a mix of single and twin rooms.  Group bookings are for a minimum of 10 people. Children, less than 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.  Cots and highchairs are available, please ask at the time of booking.  As a rule, they are pet-friendly but may want to check how many dogs and how big they are.
