Legally Blonde The Musical bursts onto an Isle of Wight stage for the first time!
The talented local team behind some of the Island’s best-loved musical performances are delighted to be returning to the stage with Legally BlondeThe Musical.
This is the first time that the fabulously fun,multi-award winning musical has graced an Isle of Wight stage and Ventnor Theatre Group are so excited to be back performing after such a long break due to the pandemic.
Based on the 2001 movie of the same name, Legally Blonde The Musical bursts onto the stage at Medina Theatre on 22nd April. The amateur theatre group are staging this action-packed, upbeat musical that’s filled with comedy, big song- and-dance numbers and, of course, plenty of pink!
Telling the story of beloved blonde, Elle Woods, the musical follows her transformation as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Though Elle, played by Sam Cattee, appears to have it all, her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend, Warner, played by Nick Weightman, dumps her to attend Harvard Law School. Determined to win him back, Elle charms her way into the prestigious school and while she struggles with peers, professors and her ex, thanks to the support of some new friends, she realises her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world. She soon learns that ‘being true to yourself never goes out of style.
