Chart Topping Music Producer and DJ Nathan Dawe is the Second Headliner Announced for Sunset Sessions
Just one week after announcing that Judge Jules is heading to the Island to play Sunset Sessions in July next year, Blackgang Chine have announced that UK dance music producer and DJ Nathan Dawe will be headlining their second event on 16th August 2024.
From BRIT-nominated UK #3 single ‘Lighter’ ft. KSI to 2022’s UK #9 summer anthem ’21 Reasons’ ft. Ella Henderson, Nathan has established himself as a bonafide and definitive dance artist. Further collaborations with everyone from Little Mix to Anne-Marie to Joel Corry & Ella Henderson on 2023 summer smash, ‘O800 HEAVEN’, also continue to showcase his fluid and versatile approach to music-making.
If that wasn’t enough, Nathan has also earned a host of different accolades over recent years, being crowned MTV’s Push Artist for 2021, and holding down his debut residency at Ibiza Rocks for an incredible 3 consecutive summers.
Amongst this he has appeared at some of the UK’s biggest dance festivals including Creamfields, We Are FSTVL, Pierjam, Bassfest and Boardmasters, as well as our very own Isle of Wight Festival in 2022 were they had to stop entry to the big top due to capacity.
Park Manager Dan White said, “We have been blown away by the response to Judge Jules, and we knew we had to secure another big artist, so when Nathan’s name came into the mix, we had to make it happen. To have a chart-topping artist come and play at Blackgang Chine is amazing. Hopefully this will open another opportunity for different demographics to experience the park in a different way. From playing an Ibiza Rocks residency, to the cliffs of Blackgang, it’s going to be incredible!”
Sunset Sessions is becoming a staple in the Blackgang Chine calendar, and cementing itself as a key music event on the island. This summer saw Sunset Sessions host two extraordinary adult only cliff top parties with headliners Ellie Sax, and DJ Dave Pearce, both of which were met with great praise. Giving the grown up’s a chance to experience Blackgang Chine in a totally different way.
