Red Funnel Confirms Annual Maintenance Programme to Improve Hi-Speed Service and Timetable Reliability for Passengers
As part of Red Funnel’s ongoing investment into maintenance and improving the reliability of its fleet, the cross-Solent ferry operator has confirmed dates for its 2024 Red Jet refit programme. Works will ensure its vessels are fully equipped for the peak season. Red Jet 6 will undergo her annual refit at Wight Shipyard from 10th November - 2ndDecember. The list of work includes servicing of the vessel’s hydraulic and safety systems, essential maintenance to the vessel’s generators, jet propulsion systems and main engine and new carpeting in the passenger accommodation area. Red Funnel has announced the opening of its annual Charity of the Year nominations for 2025. The ferry operator is calling on charities serving the Isle of Wight community to apply for the chance to be its next Charity of the Year, with applications closing on Sunday 27thOctober. The initiative is part of its Changing Tides strategy, which pledges Red Funnel’s commitment to supporting the Isle of Wight community for years to come.
