The Scarlet Pimpernel

Shoreline Productions return to Shanklin Theatre with a thrilling new musical adventure…

Get ready for passion, peril and panache as Shoreline Productions present their latest showstopping production, The Scarlet Pimpernel, from 28th-31st May 2026.

Based on Baroness Orczy’s iconic novel, this swashbuckling action-adventure musical is set against the turbulent backdrop of the French Revolution, where heroes rise, secrets burn, and the fight for Liberty, Equality and Fraternity comes at a deadly cost. Disguises, daring rescues and forbidden love collide in a story that leaps from revolutionary France to elegant Georgian England.

With an epic, sweeping book by Nan Knighton and a rousing, emotionally charged score by Knighton and Frank Wildhorn, The Scarlet Pimpernel is a vibrant window into 18th-century history, packed with drama, romance and high-stakes intrigue. Musical theatre fans will recognise much-loved numbers including “Into The Fire,” “When I Look At You,” “You Are My Home,” “She Was There” and “I’ll Forget You.”

Following their sell-out Phantom of the Opera, the quirky Wind in the Willows and the totally magical The Little Mermaid, Shoreline Productions once again bring their trademark scale, heart and theatrical flair to Shanklin Theatre in a production not to be missed.

Daring. Romantic. Unforgettable.
