Red Funnel expands its Customer Forum to dedicated trade and freight sessions
Red Funnel has expanded its regular Customer Forum initiative by hosting its first dedicated Trade & Freight Forum, bringing together freight partners and trade customers for an open and constructive conversation.
The forums are designed to give customers direct access to Red Funnel’s leadership and delivery teams, including CEO, Fran Collins. The inaugural Trade & Freight Forum focused on listening to customer experiences, exploring opportunities to enhance operations and identifying ways to improve freight services across the Solent.
From vessel loading logistics to customer communications, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, share thoughts, give feedback and understand the day-to-day operations of Red Funnel in more detail. The session explored everything from freight loading priorities, how ferry teams coordinate the deck loading, and booking system improvements. The Red Funnel team took away several key actions, including reviewing ways to communicate directly with drivers and enhancing online systems for customers.

Red Funnel also recently hosted its latest Customer Forum on the Island, welcoming 14 Island residents and business owners to the discussion. The evening’s discussions saw the Red Funnel team speak openly with customers to tackle some of their most pressing matters, including reliability and punctuality, pricing, onboard food and beverage, the refit programme and timetabling.
The Trade & Freight Forum will now become a regular part of Red Funnel’s customer engagement programme, alongside its established Customer Forum for Island residents and businesses.
