Come visit the Award-Winning ‘Donkey Sanctuary’ this Spring

They rescue homeless and unwanted donkeys, giving them a loving and forever home in the beautiful Wroxall valley on the Isle of Wight. With Free entry and Free Parking, their charity relies entirely on donations, adoptions, and fundraising from the public. Without you, they would not exist.

As Spring is underway, they celebrate World Donkey Day on the 8th May, so it is a fantastic opportunity to mention their Equine Clinic Appeal.

The Isle of Wight does not have an equine clinic and they are determined to provide the best care and facilities for the donkeys & their vets to use. They are appealing for your help to build our own.

They can carry out routine medical treatments and minor operations at the Sanctuary, so the donkeys will be ‘at home’ rather than experience the stress of an unfamiliar mainland hospital and avoid an expensive ferry crossing.

On the 20th and 21st May, they are delighted to welcome back Rydabus Vintage Bus weekend and excited to be one of the terminals! This fun event is run by the Isle of Wight Bus and Coach Museum and features some of their beautiful vintage buses, driving to various places on the Island and across several routes.

Rydabus programmes will be available to purchase from their own onsite Gift Shop.

Whilst enjoying Rydabus why not call into ‘Grazers Café’ for an early breakfast to set you up for the day or enjoy a lunch special or afternoon tea; they have got it all covered.

So come and visit, meet and interact with the Donkeys and find out about their rescue stories.

You can enjoy a Donkey Experience and help groom, walk, and pamper a donkey. Further details can be found at here and not forgetting you can bring your four legged friend along too. Dogs on leads are very welcome.

They love our animals. They know you will too. They look forward to welcoming you.
