Benji & Balu

Bear Cams

Benji and Balu, the resident bears, are live on camera! New for 2025! Viewers can watch their daily activities through seven different cameras positioned around their brand new, purpose-built enclosure. External cameras 1 to 3 feature pan, tilt, and zoom capabilities, allowing the view to change depending on where the bears are and what they’re up to — ensuring nothing is missed.

Kumba & Vigo

Lion Cams

There are four lion cams available: one in Kumba and Vigo’s outdoor habitat, one in their bedroom, and two covering Frosty’s enclosure. Vigo arrived in February 2019 along with his brother Kumba, following their rescue by AAP after a difficult start in a travelling circus. The team considers it a privilege to care for these two lions. Both were castrated before the age of one, which prevented them from developing manes — but it also contributed to their impressive size.

Frosty

Lion Cams

Frosty arrived at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary from West Midlands Safari Park. When the social dynamics within the existing lion group there began to present potential safety concerns, a new and secure forever home was needed. The Wildheart team was more than happy to provide that safe haven.

Daenerys, Nymeria and Tyrion

Eurasian Lynx Cams

The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary is home to three incredible Eurasian lynx, all of whom were in urgent need of a new home. Named after characters from Game of Thrones, the family includes mum Daenerys, her daughter Nymeria, and son Tyrion. They arrived at the sanctuary in November 2020, where they’ve since settled into their forever home. Although they live together as a family, lynx are naturally solitary animals in the wild. The sanctuary provides them with plenty of space and hiding spots, allowing them to enjoy time apart whenever they choose. Daenerys, born in Norway in 2012, is calm and relaxed but doesn’t hesitate to remind her offspring who’s in charge. Tyrion and Nymeria, born in Wales in 2016, have distinct personalities — Tyrion is especially fond of his lookout tower and is known for his healthy appetite!

Natasha & Zoppa

Tiger Cams

The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary features four tiger cams — two in Natasha and Zoppa’s habitat and two in Softi and Toph’s enclosure. The sanctuary is dedicated to animal welfare, providing lifelong care for abused animals, supporting wild tiger conservation, and promoting education to inspire greater protection efforts. Zoppa, who walks with a noticeable limp due to a permanent injury from her past, is a powerful reminder of the challenges many rescued animals face. Despite this, she has fully adapted and now enjoys a safe, enriched life in expert care.

Softi & Toph

Tiger Cams

After a long and difficult journey, Softi and Toph arrived at their forever home at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in April 2023. Their story began in October 2019, when they were discovered in appalling conditions — confined to small crates in the back of a horsebox, starving, dehydrated, and covered in excrement. The pair were confiscated at the Belarussian border, and after years of recovery, they now live safely and peacefully at the Sanctuary. The team is proud to offer these incredible animals the lifelong care they deserve.

The Softi & Toph cameras were donated to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary by isleofwight.com.
