Bonchurch is a beautiful traditional village known for its literary connections. It is situated on the side of St Boniface Downs on the South Eastern part of the Island. The downs roll towards the seafront which enjoys a shingle and sandy beach, surrounded by rocks which children love to clamber over. The Pond Cafe is within a short walk, where al fresco dining can be enjoyed. Also nearby is Bonchurch Inn serving delicious Italian Cuisine. Nearby is the Victorian town of Ventnor with its antique shops, interesting architecture, cafes, restaurants and beaches and the rest of the Island beyond.
