Huge congratulations to the Isle of Wight Music Festival 2018. This year celebrates the 50th Anniversary since the very first festival took place all those years ago. The organisers of this year’s event have put on a great line-up for festival-goers to enjoy on top of the real, party atmosphere that is enjoyed throughout the event.
The festival takes place at Seaclose Park on the outskirts of Newport and is ideally located for easy access to the Island’s County town and the regular communications from the ferry ports bring festival-goers right to the event.
Usually held in July, the Isle of Wight Music Festival heralds the start of the UK festival season and what a start it is.
As well as the main stage for the headline acts there is a second stage in The Big Top, which this year features acts such as Travis, Feeder, The Skids and The Professionals.
There are lots of things to see and do with fairground rides and areas devoted to a specific subject, such as The Kids Zone, The Hard Rock Stage, Cirque de la Quirk as well as food and drink stalls.
One of the greatest things that add so much atmosphere is the opportunity to camp on the site, or perhaps hire one of the Glamping tents, Pod Pads, Eve’s Tipis or if you want the ultimate luxury backstage accommodation why not try Camp Kerela.
