Ivy Hall is on the Isle of Wight coastal path and main bus route and is halfway between Ryde and Newport making it a perfect base for exploring the Islands many attractions. Only 1 mile from the Wightlink car ferry terminal at Fishbourne and 3 miles from the Red Funnel ferry terminal at East Cowes making them easy to get to by car or bus.

Local Sights
For walkers and ramblers, there is a selection of walks both in and around the village including a Heritage Trail. Another place of interest is Firestone Copse an attractive area of forest, notable for its wide range of tree’s, from Grand Oaks to soaring Grand Fir. There are a car park and picnic area where visitors may explore trails to Wootton Creek. In summer these are particularly good places to glimpse the many butterflies found on the Island. Wootton Creek has a very ancient history – it has been used as a waterway and port for thousands of years. The Romans landed cargo here and King Canute is said to have come ashore here. The village itself has a mixture of modern and Victorian buildings including the 11th century Parish Church of St. Edmunds and The Sloop Inn in Mill Square.
