A huge range of animals…
Awarded Top Attraction by I.of.W Tourism Our large collection of South American animals is second to none. We have a huge range of animals from the commonly seen and loved marmosets to the more unusual and rare tamandua, giant anteaters and armadillo.
We have daily Meet the Animal sessions. We also have an on site cafe, a gift shop and a large Jurassic themed adventure playground to keep the kids occupied.
About Amazon World Isle of Wight
The park emerged as a direct response to conservation threats. Initially a tropical bird collection, founder Derek Curtis upped the ante when he saw firsthand the effects deforestation and other human activity were having on wildlife around the world. The zoo aims to educate people about the plight of endangered species by helping people build a relationship with threatened animals.
Today, the park is full of happy, healthy animals, many of which visitors can meet up close and personal. Amazon World Zoo Park is fully wheelchair accessible and there are plenty of facilities for the very young and the very hungry!
Prices and Opening Times
The Park is open every day from 10am, with the exception of Christmas Day. Closing times vary from November to March, so it is a good idea to phone ahead and check. During British Summertime, final admissions are at 4.30pm, and the Park closes at 5.30pm.
