The Windsor Carlton is an attractive Victorian three storey, family run guest house. We are located on a private road with virtually no passing traffic and have our own small private car park.

The accommodation is in a fabulous position overlooking the newly constructed Ventnor Haven, Ventnor Bay and the English Channel to the front, with the picturesque Ventnor Downs to the rear.

It is ideally situated, not only for challenging walking and cycling holidays, but also family breaks as the beach and town centre are only a few minutes from the property.

At the Windsor Carlton we have a choice of Family, Double or Twin bedrooms.

All of our thirteen rooms are shower or bath en-suite, with most family rooms having a bath en-suite, making life easier for couples with small children.

Tea and coffee making facilities and a colour TV are all provided in each room.

Alarm Clock Radios and Hair Dryers are provided on request.

Breakfast is included in the price of your stay. Our breakfast menu offers a selection of food designed to fill the biggest appetites. What better way to start your day than with a full English breakfast, or if you prefer, a lighter option is available.

At an additional cost we can offer you a three course meal in the evenings. We have a wide choice to choose from at reasonable prices. The selection changes from week to week but we always offer a varied menu of good quality home cooked food which can be accompanied by any of the various beverages from our bar. There is always a vegetarian alternative and all dietary requests can be catered for.

Our traditional bar has a lovely relaxed feel and gives our guests somewhere to sit, relax and chat away. There is also a selection of board games, dominos and cards for your amusement.

The bar has a good stock of Ales, some made right here on the island! We also offer numerous bottled lagers, Alco-pops, and both Stella Artois Lager and Thwaites Bitter are available on tap. We have a good selection of both red and white wines, including our very own house wines. In addition to all of this, we stock a wide selection of spirits.

The guest house bar is open most evenings during the week and weekends.

Ventnor is situated in the south of the Isle of Wight.

Currently the focus of a massive regeneration plan Ventnor is now home to Ventnor Haven, a new pleasure boat harbour to the east of Ventnor bay.

Ventnor was a sleepy fishing village until the fashionable Victorian folk discovered it and its mild microclimates, coupled with its fresh sea air. They even believed it have a curative effect on respiratory disorders.

Ventnor still retains its original charm of a small fishing village with fishing boats not far from the beach, catching fresh crab and lobster. It lacks the hustle and bustle of other places on the island, remaining tranquil. The Hotel is situated in Alexandra gardens. Built by the Victorians over a hundred years ago. The gardens were rumoured to have been built for Queen Victoria\'s lady\'s in waiting.

Everything on the island is just a short drive from Ventnor (At most 40 minutes). Sandown is 15 minutes away, Shanklin is only 10 minutes away and Ryde is 40 minutes away. In fact everything on the island is within a close proximity, and even on the longest journeys there is always picturesque landscapes to enjoy along the way.
