A fantastic location for groups, Winchester House is a beautiful Victorian building set in large grounds on the cliff top overlooking Sandown Bay with access via steps to the long sandy beach below.

Located between the popular holiday towns of Sandown and Shanklin within easy reach of many island attractions, the property is accessible by train, bus and road with ample free on site parking for coaches and cars.

Winchester House is a popular choice for school and group holidays to the Isle of Wight and is open year round.

Full Board Accommodation

The Main House is graded as 3* group accommodation and sleeps groups of 20 - 123 in a mixture of bunk-bedded and twin rooms.

The house is split into three wings which can be separated with secure, coded doors. Each wing is equipped with comfortable, private lounges and there are limited separate rooms available for classroom activities.

Full Board rates include breakfast, a packed lunch and dinner each day. Our catering team produces nutritious well-balanced meals and provides for vegetarians and people with special dietary needs.

All special catering requests must be made in advance of visit.

On site Activities

There is so much to see and do on the island that many groups have little time for anything else. However, we do have a range of equipment and activities on site available for visiting groups to use including:

•Giant sand pit
•Petanque pit
•Variety of giant games including Jenga and Connect 4
•Sports equipment available for all school groups to make the most of the grounds
•Beach equipment for the adjacent sands of Hope Bay

At certain times of the year, our qualified playworkers are available to lend an extra pair of hands for on site group activities and even to accompany groups on excursions (with prior arrangement).

The evening program varies from week to week but can include themed parties, games nights, barbecues and discos. If you have any specific ideas, please let us know. Equally, if you would rather do your own thing, we're happy to give you your own space.

We can cater for almost any group size in one or more of our three, comfortable meeting rooms. We have all the usual equipment available for hire, including;

Our flexibility enables us to offer customers both individual prices or fully inclusive day delegate rates.
