Cowes
Exploring the town centre of Cowes that lies behind the famous harbour is a delight, whichever way you choose to arrive in this picturesque area of the Isle of Wight. The towns of West Cowes and East Cowes are separated by the River Medina and linked by the "floating bridge", a chain ferry that shuttles to and fro across the river. Cowes is steeped in maritime heritage as well as being known the world-over for hosting some of the best yachting events in the world, such as Cowes Week, held annually in August.

Newport
Located in the centre of the Island, Newport is its principal town and main shopping centre. Excellent roads and bus services make it easy to reach from anywhere on the Island and the Southern Vectis bus terminus is right in the centre of town. Enjoy browsing in the major chain stores or the many individual and intriguing little shops to be found in the lanes leading off the High Street and two main squares.
