For almost 150 years, the Westbury Lodge has occupied its elevated position aloft the cliff tops. A two minute stroll will take you to the cliff path and the amazing views of Sandown Bay and Culver Down. Today the hotel offers more than the standard seaside guesthouse; it boasts elegance, tranquility and tasteful décor in a spacious and relaxing setting. All 8 guest bedrooms are colour co-ordinated and offer the height of comfort and facilities.
We cater exclusively for adults, adopt a strictly no smoking policy throughout the premises and offer a free wireless broadband connection. Although not licensed to serve alcohol we are more than happy to provide corkscrews, glasses and ice if guests wish to purchase from outside of the hotel. |

Bedrooms:
We have tastefully refurbished all our 8 guest rooms to provide a welcoming and relaxing ambiance. 7 of our rooms are en-suite and the 8th has a private adjoining bathroom. All rooms have colour televisions, radio alarm clocks, hairdryers, toiletries and hospitality trays. In addition our 2 superior rooms have expansive views of Shanklin Downs, king size beds and ceiling fans.
Iron, ironing board, beach towels, emergency ladies' and gents' toiletries and fresh milk are all available on request.
Lounge and Conservatory:
The large comfortable lounge provides the opportunity to quietly read or perhaps play a game of chess. There is also a wide screen TV and an extensive collection of books and videos for your pleasure.
You may prefer to relax in the conservatory or, weather permitting, on the front lawn patio, which enjoys the sun from noon until late evening.
Dining
We provide a freshly cooked and hearty (or healthy) breakfast, catering for vegetarians and European visitors. We offer a range of cereal, fruit, yogurt and fruit juice in addition to a traditional English breakfast, including black pudding.
Freshly prepared packed lunches are available by arrangement.
We do not offer evening meals but we will be pleased to give you the benefit of our local knowledge of restaurant and eating-houses across the island and make the bookings on your behalf. |
