UKSA enjoys a Waterfront location in Cowes on the Sunny Isle of Wight and is the perfect location for residential and non-residential Water Sports and Team Building for Students from 8 years upwards.
We specialise in introducing people under the age of 25 to the great outdoors through the medium of watersports. Activities include yachting, dinghy sailing, kayaking, keelboating, paddle boarding, surfing, windsurfing, power boating and dragon boating.
The wider benefits of participation in watersports are widely recognised and include inspiration, enjoyment, teamwork, boosting self-confidence and self-reliance, as well as the making and sealing of friendships.
Visitor’s safety and security is of paramount importance. All instructors at UKSA are experienced and fully qualified. Ratio’s for on the water activities are 1:6 Teachers and group organisers do not need to have experience of water sports prior to the visit as our instructors take care of all activities afloat

UKSA is a registered Charity; Princess Anne is our Patron and Dame Ellen McArthur one of our Ambassadors. Assisted Funding is available for children who might not otherwise be able to access watersports due to funding difficulties, emotional problems, learning difficulties or physical disabilities.
We have over 350 craft here in Cowes ranging from Pico Dingies to 67’ Challenger Yachts. Gypsy Moth is also berthed at UKSA
What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?
UKSA offer a variety of watersports and team building activities These include but are not exclusive to Yachting, dingy sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing and windsurfing, team games, raft building and keelboating.
Visits can comprise of a 3-hour session to a residential trip from 10 to 200 students
What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit?
Educational outcomes for Maths, English, Science and Geography will be available for the majority of our watersports activities in 2012 Samples will be available prior to visiting our Academy.
Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions?
Yes, watersports are great fun and makes for great media; we are client led in this area.

What does it cost?
Day Visits from £23 per person Full Board Accommodation from £35 per person Water Activity & Accommodation from £60 per person
UKSA provide wet suits, buoyancy aids and helmets, students need to bring wet shoes or an old pair of trainers that they do not mind getting wet along with clothes (shorts/T or rash vest) for under the wetsuit.
Do you have first aid on site?
All UKSA’s operational staff has First Aid qualifications as well as on-site First Aid Instructors.
What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits?
Dining Room, Bistro, Children’s area with air hockey, pool, t.v. Games, Indoor Pool, Classrooms, Cyber Café, Shop, Packed lunches can be purchased from UKSA or students can bring their own – there is plenty of room to sit and eat.
Are there disabled facilities?
Specific accommodation and equipment for all levels of disability.
