The Swiss Cottage in Shanklin, Isle of Wight was built in 1866 and is an attractive, 4 Star Silver, friendly traditional seaside guest accommodation, under the personal supervision of guest house owners Keith & Christine Beckett, a home from home where guests meet as strangers and leave as friends.

The Swiss Cottage is conveniently situated in the heart of Shanklin, on a quiet road with its own off street parking for up to 6 cars on our own forecourt. Swiss Cottage is within two minutes easy walk to all the amenities Shanklin and the beach has to offer and is an ideal base for seeing the entire Isle of Wight.

Our guest accommodation caters for Half Board and Bed and Breakfast, guests can enjoy their meals in our light and airy dining room.
Make your selection from the daily menu, which includes traditional home cooked food using fresh local produce (when available) or maybe you would just like to relax and have a drink from our well stocked bar.


The Swiss Cottage Guest House Shanklin has a range of en-suite rooms, including family, double, twin, we also offer single occupancy to take care of everyone’s needs.
So whether its B and B you want, a hearty evening meal or something special for Valentines Day, Anniversary's or Birthdays we cater for everyone. Just let us know in advance to claim your free complimentary bottle of wine/fizz or chocolates or cake or flowers to celebrate the occasion with you.

Internally all our unique rooms have recently undergone refurbishment from decoration to bedding and externally the guest house has had a bright new face lift. All this just to make your stay a more pleasant experience. Double room

We are able to arrange accommodation to provide up to Five en suite double rooms at any one time, depending on availability. Two are situated on the Ground floor, one large double room with seating area and a large walk in shower and the other with a shower cubicle and extra dressing room.
On the First Floor we have two doubles at the front with en suite shower rooms and to the side a large double room with seating area and en suite bathroom/shower.


Single / Twin room

There are three twin rooms on the first floor, Room 6 with bath/shower en-suite & Room 11 with en-suite shower. The last one has the sole use of a large private bathroom just on the landing.
All rooms are available for adult
single occupancy; a minimal charge applies during our High Season.







Family room

There are two Family rooms.
On the Ground Floor Room 1 is arranged to accommodate two adults sharing and one or two children aged 5-10 years sleeping on bunk beds within the same suite.
There is also a second family suite, Room 8/9 which can accommodate two adults sharing an en-suite double room and up to two older children 10 years and above sleeping on single beds in a separate room within the suite. Younger children over 5 years of age are welcome but not during our busy season and this is by prior agreement of the Owners.





Accommodation

The en-suite rooms, two of which are on the ground floor, offer flexible accommodation. All rooms have flat screened digital TV/DVD for you to watch over 100 channels or listen to some music on your CD/radio alarm clock or use our Free WI-FI access to catch up with things back home.
You also have a wide range of complimentary beverages, mini fridges and a hair dryer in your room plus a trouser press, iron and ironing board and shoe polish equipment are on the landing for you to use.
All the bathrooms have been completely remodernised with new tiling, showers, wc's, mirrors and other accessories.
