Step by Step unescorted walks offer a relaxing and tranquil quality that are so popular with many walkers.
The freedom provided by the walks means that you dictate pace, direction, start and finish.

When selecting your unescorted walk, the choice is entirely your own -
although Step by Step will be on hand to help if required.
We provide:

Assistance with planning your walks

Choice of menu, including special diets

En-suite accommodation

Emergency back up transport

Unescorted walkers enjoy the same high standards of half-board or bed and breakfast accommodation
and free use of the leisure centre. In addition, Step by Step offers practical assistance in
the form of a FREE ORDNANCE SURVEY MAP together with a published guide to the Island's
trails and paths. Packed lunches are available on request.

Transport is provided at the start of our classic walks (minimum of 4 walkers) and we will
also provide a copy of the comprehensive local transport timetables, covering buses and trains.

Guided Walks

For many walkers, few pleasures can compare to absorbing nature's varied beauty whilst
enjoying the relaxed company of other enthusiasts.
These two are perfectly blended in our Step by Step guided walks.

A variety of coastal and inland walks are explored in this beautiful island, boasting more walks in its locality than any other area in Britain. We pass through picturesque villages, wander shady woodland paths and discover the breathtaking splendour of the Islands sprawling downlands. Each walk averages 10 to 12 miles a day in the company of an experienced island-based guide
able to point out local aspects for added interest.

A tasty bar meal at one of the many carefully selected country pubs is included with all walks.
For those wishing to enjoy just a morning or afternoon walk,
Step by Step can arrange a return or delivery lift at lunch time.

For extra security a mobile phone is carried on all walks and our guides are island based
people with many years of walking experience.
