24 Island cricket clubs, are affiliated to the IWCB, and there are 12 non-affiliated teams - in total more clubs per square mile than anywhere in mainland England, making the locality an ideal mecca for touring teams. In 2003 one hundred and twenty teams toured the Island, from as far afield as South Africa and Australia.
