One of the most popular hotels on the Island - our clients return again and again! Managed with real enthusiasm - the many innovations, amenities and annual improvements are fast making The Wight the place to holiday or take a short break. Set in secluded grounds - thus avoiding night-time noise from the High Street and Esplanade - but just 170 yards from the beach and the same to the start of the shops. By Easter most (probably all!) of our 41 en-suite bedrooms (currently with flat screen freeview TV with DVD, hairdryer, hospitality tray, digital safe and WiFi access) will have been refurbished, newly decorated and fitted with “blackout” curtains.

Rooms & Suites Available in The Wight

We have 41 comfortably furnished and well appointed rooms, varying in style and size from single right through to family suites - some of which are suitable for up to 6. Additionally we also have some superior rooms and even "Four Poster" and Honeymoon suites. But, whatever your requirement or choice, every room has it's own ensuite facilities, colour TV, radio, wifi internet access for your laptop, hospitality tray, hairdryer and a digital safe. Cleanliness and attention to detail are under the watchful eye of our Housekeeper, Looge McDonald, who trained at the Park Lane Hotel, London and who has been with us for 18 years. Please note that all bedrooms are strictly "No Smoking".

Typical Double and Twin-Bedded Rooms With their ensuite facilities the Wight's Double and Twin Bedded Rooms vary between 13 and 17 sq. meters. Some of the ensuites are based on showers whilst others have baths. Treble Rooms With facilities our Treble rooms are about 17 sq. meter and are fitted with one double bed and one single bed. Standard Family Rooms Fitted with a double bed plus a set of bunk beds. With their ensuite facilities they are about 20 sq. meters. Archway Suites Great for those with larger families, these have two separate rooms (both with TV's) which are connected by an arch. The one shown accommodates up to 2 adults and 4 children. Our Archways, including their facilities which are based on baths, vary from 25 up to 34 sq. meters. Four Poster Suite Two views of our Four Poster Suite which, with it's ensuite, totals around 24 sq. meters. Leading off from the Suite is an additional room (approx 9 sq. meters) containing twin beds. Family Units We also have several ensuite units consisting of two separate rooms (one with a double bed, the other with either twin beds or a set of bunks, both with TV's) with a connecting door. These afford good privacy but the two rooms share the ensuite facilities which are usually entered via the main (double) room.

Our "Best of British" IOW restaurant Our Restaurant Manageress Wendy Fowler, who has been with the hotel for 5 years, will welcome you to our spacious restaurant which has comfortable seating for 110 diners. It opens for Breakfast at 8.15am (last orders by 9.45am) and for Evening Dinner at 6.30pm (last orders by 8.00pm). Children may either eat with their parents during that time (choosing from either the adult or child menus) or, if parents prefer, can be served from the children's menu at 6.00pm - please arrange for early meals with the restaurant staff during breakfast or with Reception at the latest by 5.30pm.
