Welcome to Luccombe Hall

Luccombe Hall Country House Hotel was originally built in 1870 as the summer palace for the Bishop of Portsmouth. This lovely, family-run hotel commands the best position and the best selection of facilities of any hotel on the Isle of Wight. With magnificent views of the bay, the hotel has direct access to the beach and the old village of Shanklin and yet is away from traffic noise.

Shanklin is the ideal place to stay and has a varied selection of shops, restaurants and bars, all within easy walking distance from the hotel. There are also some lovely walks through parks and along the coast line in both directions, near to the hotel.

Tea Gardens

Set within the extensive landscaped gardens at Luccombe Hall Country House Hotel, the Grand View Tea Gardens is located in the most stunning clifftop position.

With breath taking panoramic sea views accross the entire bay, it is the perfect location to indulge in a home made cream tea. The Grand View Tea Gardens offer an extensive menu available from early morning until late into the afternoon. Famed for its fabulous lunches including local shellfish, there is surely no better place to lunch!

If you feel you have overindulged in home made cake, why not take some exercise down the cliff steps that lead directly from the Grand View Tea Gardens to the sandy beach below.
