Green Corner

This detached house on the north coast of the Isle of Wight sleeps six people in three bedrooms. reen Corner is a modern detached holiday home in the Parish of Fishbourne on the banks of Wootton Creek, which runs into the Solent.

This light and airy holiday cottage has been decorated and furnished to an exceptional standard, and offers accommodation including three bedrooms – the master commands wonderful views across the Solent; kitchen with breakfast bar; dining room, and a pleasant conservatory that overlooks the pretty garden which attracts an abundance of wildlife including birds and red squirrels.

The coastal path is close by, as are more family friendly attractions including the island's beautiful countryside, chocolate-box villages, historic houses, and stunning coastline.

The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker’s paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.

The little parish of Fishbourne is situated approximately one mile from Wootton Bridge and just three miles from the picturesque seaside resort of Ryde. This friendly community is located on the banks of Wootton Creek, which is a popular mooring for yachtsmen.

Visitors can also embark the Wightlink Portsmouth Ferry from here.

The parish has an excellent pub, a shingle beach that can be accessed at low tide for paddling and fishing, and The Isle of Wight coastal path passes through the community.

There is plenty for visitors to experience in this area, including the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Queen Victoria's Osborne House, Quarr Abbey, Brickfields Horse Country, and Robin Hill Adventure Park. Ryde, only a short drive away, offers six miles of excellent sandy beaches and many other attractions including 10 pin bowling, an ice rink, and a superb selection of shops and restaurants.

Visitor Comments

Very welcoming and spacious. Lovely property with everything you would need and in an excellent position for seeing the island. All in all a great place.

Welcome by the owners was lovely (as was the welcome gift). The conservatory was so nice - we ate our meals in there and looked out at the birds and the ferry. The thought and attention that the owners put into the house was wonderful - games in every cupboard and kitchen was so well equipped (great laundry room also). A really lovely 'home from home' (and a good pub 1 min walk away!)

The location of the property was excellent. The owners of the property have made the garden very attractive to birds and watching them over breakfast was particularly nice. Although the Ryde - Fishbourne ferries dock only yards away, they added interest to the view from the lounge and rarely created sufficient noise to disturb us.
