Grange Farm - Isle of Wight Camping

We are pleased to offer you self-catering accommodation and camping facilities on our small working farm, overlooking our chine and sandy beach. Grange Farm Brighstone Bay is situated on the South West coast of the Isle of Wight, approximately 6 miles from Freshwater Bay to the west, and 10 miles from Ventnor to the east. The picturesque village of Brighstone lies half a mile to the north. The whole area is idea for fishing, fossil hunting and cycling, a walker’s paradise. There is good access to our sandy beach which is safe for swimming and un-crowded with unpolluted fresh sea air

STATIC CARAVANS

With easy access to the beach and ideally situated for views of the sea and the chine, we have 12 Static Caravans on a plateau which, in days gone by, once housed the Brighstone Life Boat Station. A fence between the caravans and the cliff edge is provided for parents’ peace of mind.

The 8-berth static caravan located up near the farm has a glorious view down the chine with a panoramic view of the sea.

The door(s) of each static caravan open out on to its own, decked veranda, mounted by steps or (in two cases) a slope.

The 8-berth static caravans are year 2000 models. They are 35 feet (10.7m) long and 12 feet (3.7m) wide and have 1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms (these beds are 6 feet long and 2 foot or 2 foot 3 inches wide) – a few models do have bunk beds in one of these rooms. A double bed may also be made up in the lounge. Included in the caravan is a fully fitted kitchen and a separate shower room, with toilet and wash basin. They are fitted with either a gas or electric fire in the lounge and an electric heater mounted at the other end of the caravan

Most of the 6-berth static caravans were new in 2007. They are 28 feet (8.5m) long and 12 feet (3.7m) wide and have 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedrooms (these beds are 6 feet long and 2 foot, 3 inches wide). A double bed may also be made up in the lounge. These caravans have central heating and include a fully fitted kitchen and a separate shower room, with toilet and wash basin.

We also have one 6-berth static caravan. New in 2008, this caravan is similar to those above but it is 28 feet (8.5m) long, but only 10 feet (3m) wide and it has a heater at each end of the caravan.

Dogs: Whilst we do allow certain types or breeds of dogs in three of our static caravans, we are biased towards the smaller, short-haired breeds (and normally have an upper limit of 2 dogs in any given caravan). Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dogs during the school summer holidays.

Within the same building, our small launderette comprises of: a coin operated washing machine, tumble driers, spin drier and ironing facilities.

Whilst we do accept well-behaved dogs on-site, they must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are permitted on the beach here but not necessarily on all other beaches on the Island.

Camping Pods

We are now offering Camping Pods.

These have been designed and hand built on our farm, and are small lockable units to book,

these sleeping units are basically an empty shell. Some of these units have electricity, but most of them are to be used in the same way as if bringing you own tent - everything must be brought along as if you were camping with a tent.
