| With its superb location on sweeping Sandown Bay, the Grand Hotel is positioned perfectly with uninterrupted views of the sea. Sandown has a magnificent sandy beach that lopes gently into the sea and is ideal for paddling and swimming. There are all kinds of seafront amusements including all the attractions on the pier. A broad seafront promenade puts us within easy reach of the town centre, which is packed with interesting small shops, pubs, restaurants and a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool. Some of the Islands leading attractions are located at our end of the bay – the Isle of Wigth Zoo, Browns Family Golf and The Dinosaur Museum. Great Walks to the East & West The two mile costal walk between Sandown and Shanklin is a popular attraction, choose from the undulating costal path or the sea wall promenade. In the opposite direction there is an exhilarating coastal path to Bembridge across Culver Downs. |
