Milk House
The Milk House is a 200 year old stone barn converted into a delightful and very comfortable holiday home. It is situated at the end of a quiet country lane - tucked away at the foot of St Catherine's Down, just below the Hoy Monument. About a mile inland from the south coast of the Isle of Wight - the area is rolling countryside and is ideal for walking.
Downstairs An open plan living room - with views to the cliffs at Tennyson Down. A huge dining room /kitchen with picture windows - a shaker-style kitchen with every comfort imaginable. A lobby with downstairs shower and loo.
Upstairs There are three large bedrooms - 2 with en-suite bathrooms and one with an en-suite loo with a roll top bath in the bedroom itself. One of the bedrooms has a double bed with magnificent views across unspoiled countryside to Freshwater Bay. The middle bedroom has twin beds and a bunk. Through into the third bedroom (which has the roll-top bath) there are twin beds. This bedroom has French doors that lead out onto a wooden balcony and steps out into the garden.
Everything has been traditionally decorated with lime washed walls and every effort has been made to make it as ecologically acceptable as possible.
Outside The Milk house has its own garden with bbq and garden furniture. |
Cart House
The Cart House is a 200 year old stone barn converted into two self catering cottages, yet retaining the open facade of the original building.
Situated at the end of a quiet country lane, it is tucked away at the foot of St. Catherine's Down, just below The Hoy monument. We are about a mile inland from the south coast of the Isle of Wight - the area is rolling countryside and ideal for walking. Close by is the famous ‘Pepperpot’. Built in the early 14th century, it was one of Britain’s first beacons to warn shipping of dangerous rocks.
The cottages feature a huge open plan living/kitchen area with big, picture windows across the front. There are two bedrooms in each cottage. The main bedroom has a double bed in it and through into the second bedroom there are three singles. The bathroom is downstairs and has a king size shower, hand basin and W.C.
Both cottages have full central heating. There is ample parking space and each cottage has its own garden and barbecue. The cottages are traditionally decorated with lime washed walls and every effort has been made to make them as ecologically acceptable as possible.
