Hello from us all at feather friends, we are a small rescue for avian birds only ,we have been smitten by avian birds for fifteen years now and still going strong.We started with a large impressive avairy and bought a few birds for our pleasure beeeding them was a success and we accomadated a few more from neighbours and locals who no longer wished to keep their pets,our little sanctuary grew.
We visited a few avian bird sales where we would find ourselves buying the most ugliest birds that no-one wanted at affordable prices and they all grew into beautifull birds with a lot care and kindness.
After helping people with their birds we decided to help charitys on the island and have helped fund raise for them, but the demand we had with people wishing for us to adopt their pet birds we decided to help them with either handrearing to adoptions .All our birds that breed for us we sell the chicks for feed ,toys,cages ,vet fees,special treats,building new avairies, everything is so costly in keeping birds,we also adopt birds from avairies and blend them with ours.
Collection is free of charge as its nice to see how they have been looked after, its very hard when the owners have to give up their pet birds through no fault of their own,we offer help and advice and every situation ,we adopt from the smallest to the largest nothing is turned away even the sick is cared for and nurtured back to health or live out their days with a few friends in a stress free enviroment,some are adopted out to new home for which we have waiting lists all information of owners are strictly private and confidential.

Cage and avairy newspaper wrote a lovely piece about what we do and gave us a slap on the back as they put it.

We are a non profit rescue .due to the cost of keeping birds on a day to day basiswe need your financial support.when your bird is placed with us We ask that you consider making a donation to offset the care of your bird.many of the birds have been less fortunate than yours and your financial contribution enables us to offset some of the costs incurred with the rescue so we can continue our efforts.
