The Burlington has 20 bedrooms, all with tea and coffee making facilities, many are en suite, colour T.V. is available in all rooms. A comfortable family guest house, the Burlington provides the ideal base for those seeking the traditional seaside holiday and also for the more outgoing.

The Burlington is an attractive stone building, constructed in the reign of Queen Victoria as a gentleman\'s residence. It stands in it\'s own grounds overlooking the sea and Keats Green. Our situation, alongside the famous Shanklin Chine, places us just a matter of yards from the cliff path to the beach and two minutes walk from the old village.

The Burlington is run under the personal supervision of the resident proprietors who are always near at hand to take an interest in the well being of their guests.

Situated on the South East coast of the Isle of Wight and enjoying one of the highest levels of recorded hours of sunshine in the south of England, Shanklin is a delightful blend of the olde worlde and a modern sea side resort.

Shanklin is famous for it\'s chine, which has been in the Popham family since 1705, it\'s picturesque old village and it\'s association with the poet Keats.

Shanklin is well situated for touring the Island and it\'s many places of interest including:

Blackgang Chine, Osbourne House - once the seaside home of Queen Victoria, Alum Bay and the Needles - famous for coloured sands and the chair lift, Godshill, Carisbrooke Castle where King Charles the First was once imprisoned, Robin Hill adventure park - a fun day our for the kids, Flamingo Park - water fowl, the Isle of Wight Steam Railway at Havenstreet, the Wax Museum at Brading, Isle of Wight Pearl - for that special gift and much much more!
