Once a Victorian gentlemans residence, the Belmont offers superior accommodation in elegant surroundings.

We are known for our warm welcome, friendly efficient service and relaxing atmosphere, and are featured - by invitation - in The AA BEST Bed and Breakfast 2008.

The house stands in mature grounds well back from the road behind Keats Green, enjoying peace and privacy yet is ideally located just a short stroll to the picturesque thatched Old Village, Shanklin Chine, the beach and town centre.

There are thirteen well-appointed rooms, with a choice of double, twin, family and ground floor rooms. All are en-suite, with television, direct dial telephone, clock radio, hairdryer, fan, toiletries and hospitality tray; most face the sea or the garden and pool.

Superior rooms are sea-facing with king-sized or twin beds, or garden-facing with a four-poster bed [supplement £5 pppn]. Our Premier Room is the largest room with a spacious bathroom, additional furniture, large television with Freeview, digital radio and helpful extras such as bathrobes [supplement £7.50 pppn].

The family suite comprises one room with a double bed and superb sea views, a connecting room currently with bunk beds for two children and en-suite bathroom [supplement £5 per adult per night].

You start your day with a hearty English, vegetarian or Continental breakfast served in the elegant dining room looking onto the secluded sun-trap rear garden. Here you can relax all day and take a dip in our outdoor pool [heated late May to early September].

The colonial-style veranda, spanning the front of the Belmont, is another delightful spot to settle down with a book or news-paper in the morning sun. Indoors, you can admire the view of the cliff-top church from our comfortable lounge, and find the perfect place for an evening drink in our cosy bar.
