Arreton, is an early Jacobean manor house steeped in history and dates back to as early as 872. Once owned by Edward the Confessor, the manor is noted in the Domesday Book and is specifically mentioned in the Will of King Alfred the Great in 885.
As well as offering guest accommodation (Bed & Breakfast), the house and gardens will be open to the public during the summer. The natural stone church, which has served the village and parish for years, is close by and well worth a visit. |
The rooms available at Arreton Manor have been furnished in keeping with the age and period of the property. The first of the rooms has a grand four poster bed, which is lavishly finished with quality bedding, throws and wall hangings. The en-suite bathroom to this room is again extremely well fitted, with a period style suite, finished in white with delicately patterned tiling to the walls, there is a bath with shower unit over, a vanity unit with inset basin and a low level WC. A small lobby separates the bedroom from the en-suite, all of which is self-contained. Your stay at Arreton Manor will be a most memorable and luxurious experience, ideal for that special occasion.
The second room available to guests overlooks the front garden of the property, out to the surrounding countryside. Again it is extremely well finished, with period furniture and oak beams to the walls. The bathroom en-suite is again luxuriously finished with quality tiling, a white suite with bath and shower attachment over, vanity unit and low level wc. |
