| With breathtaking views across Freshwater Bay, the Albion Hotel enjoys a unique position that is genuinely within a stone’s throw of the sea, at the heart of the Isle of Wight’s southern Heritage Coast and in an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With the glorious rolling Tennyson Down extending from the hotel grounds to the famous Needles, The West Wight, the quieter less populated area of the Island, is ideal for those looking for a truly relaxing and scenic holiday whilst having, amongst other things, a beach on their doorstep that is unbeatable for families. The Albion is steeped in four centuries of history. In the 1600s ‘The Cabin’ - one of the earliest parts of the building - was the smuggler’s local ale house. While in the late 1800s, during the reign of Queen Victoria, ‘The Royal Albion’ proudly displayed the ‘By Appointment’ Crest. The Albion Hotel is a short ferry trip across the Solent either as a passenger or with your car. Whilst offering a delightful Old World charm, The Albion also offers all the features expected of a modern hotel. Most importantly, the management and staff welcome the opportunity to do everything that they can to ensure that your stay on the Isle of Wight is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. |
